Therefore, one of the best ways to select a laptop is to understand the functions the laptop will be performing. Different professionals need a different types of laptops for different functionalities. They mainly go for particular laptops that suit or that will perform these functions smoothly.

Size of the Laptop.
The size of a laptop matters a big deal when choosing a laptop. Portable but highly effective laptops are preferable to more heavy ones. The most popular size, 15-inch laptops usually weigh 4 to 5.5 pounds. This size is one of the best things you can look out for when buying a laptop. It must have a perfect size. The size is even more important for web developers.
Screen Quality.
This is another important feature of a good laptop. The screen resolution must be perfect and clean.
RAM
The positive effect of having a larger RAM size in a laptop, it provides a greater capacity to run more programs simultaneously without slowing down overall computing speed or crashing the operating system.
Core i5 laptop with the RAM size of 8GB to 12GB, is considered to be perfect for professionals like Graphic Designers, Web Developers, Engineers, etc. I bet you don’t want to have a laptop with a hanging operating system.

How To Check Your Laptop Battery Capacity.
To check the design capacity of your battery, that is the total energy storage that the battery was designed to have.
On your windows (from windows 8 and higher), go to the “Type here to search” space at the bottom left of your laptop. Type Command Prompt in the search box and run the command. Type “powercfg /batteryreport” and run the report.
A message will direct you on where to find the report in your folder.
Below is the example of the check I ran on my core i5 laptop.
C:\Users\HP>powercfg /batteryreport
Battery life report saved to file path C:\Users\HP\battery-report.html.
USB Port.
You will need to transfer files from or to your gadgets from your laptop. therefore the USB port of the laptops is also very important. but wait have you ever seen a laptop with no USB Port, I doubt it.
